This website is owned by Sanco Foundation vzw (“Sanco”), with its registered office at Heidebergstraat 14, 3120 Tremelo, Belgium, and company number 0792.367.066. Email: info@sanco.org.
These terms apply to online donations to Sanco. By making an online donation, you agree to these terms.
Article 1: Definitions
- Online donation: any amount Sanco receives through online payment or bank transfer.
- Donation form: the form (via Donorbox) used to make an online donation to Sanco.
- Donor: the natural or legal person who makes a donation to Sanco.
- Recipient: Sanco Foundation vzw.
- Cooling-off period: the period during which the donor can withdraw the donation.
- Mission: the purpose of the association as described in its articles of association.
Article 2: Applicability
- These terms apply to every online donation to Sanco.
- By making a donation, the donor accepts these terms.
- Sanco may amend these terms. The version in force at the time of the donation applies.
Article 3: Rights of Sanco
Online donations go entirely to Sanco and are used for its mission. Payment providers charge transaction fees on online payments; the donor may choose to cover these fees.
Article 4: Rights of the donor
- The donor cannot attach a specific purpose to the use of a donation, other than use within Sanco’s mission.
- The donor receives a payment receipt for the donation. Sanco cannot issue Belgian tax certificates at this time.
- Online donations are subject to a cooling-off period of 8 working days. During this period the donor can withdraw the donation by emailing info@sanco.org.
Article 5: Obligations of Sanco
- Sanco spends income from donations in accordance with its mission.
- Sanco takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure communication, the electronic transfer of data and online donations.
- Sanco complies with its privacy policy.
Article 6: Obligations of the donor
- The donor is at least 18 years old. Anyone younger can only donate with the consent and in the presence of a parent or guardian.
- The donor only donates funds that they hold and are entitled to dispose of.
- The donor does not provide a false name or identity.
- If Sanco is informed that a donation was made under a false name or identity, or with funds the donor is not entitled to dispose of, Sanco may report this to the police.
- The donor ensures that any partner has agreed to the donation in advance if it can be considered unusual or excessive.
- The donor takes note of Sanco’s disclaimer.
Article 7: Complaints and refunds
- Not satisfied with Sanco’s service? We handle complaints and suggestions within ten working days. Email info@sanco.org.
- An online donation can be refunded free of charge within fourteen days, provided you notify us within that period via info@sanco.org.
Article 8: Applicable law and competent courts
- These terms are governed by Belgian law.
- The courts of Leuven have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute concerning these terms.
